Hey there! I’m Honeysuckle!
I’m a 51-pound German Shepherd mix with striking black and white fur, turning 2 years old this December (2026)… and I come with a serious flair for adventure! I was found as a stray, which basically makes me a professional explorer! I’ve sniffed more sidewalks than most dogs dream of! Not bad for a young girl like myself!
Fortunately, I was found by some caring people, and am looking to be placed in a loving home.
I’m a friendly and curious gal and so far, I've really enjoyed the people (and other dogs!) I've met at AHOTO. Now, I am still a a young girl so my manners are hit or miss and I have quite a bit of energy, though I am super smart! I recently got to take a short break with a temporary foster, and in no time at all, I mastered "sit," "down," "stay," and "shake"! I'm also working on my housetraining and catching on fast.
Because of my high energy level, I'd really do best in a home with another playful dog who wants to run around with me. I just need a family that is willing to keep up with my training and give me all the exercise and mental enrichment I need to be a happy and healthy pup - that way we can ALL live happily ever after!
