Maya is a female dog in need of a rescue, foster, or adopter who can provide continued medical care and support. She has bilateral hip dysplasia and a suspected tear or partial tear of the left cranial cruciate ligament (CCL), which will require further diagnostic evaluation to determine the extent of her injuries and the most appropriate treatment plan. Depending on the findings, surgery on her left stifle (knee) may be necessary.
Maya would benefit from a stable, supportive environment where she can receive follow-up veterinary care, additional diagnostics, and any recommended medical or surgical treatment. With appropriate care and management, she has the opportunity to improve her comfort and quality of life. Maya is at risk for euthanasia due to medical concerns beyond our scope of care.
