**11/01/26 â Update:** Gothel has now been adopted and returned to the shelter on two separate occasions due to reported behavioral concerns. The first adopter reported that Gothel did not get along with their resident dog, while the second adopter reported incidents of aggressive behavior directed toward multiple family members.
**Gothel is in URGENT IMMEDIATE need of appropriate adoption or rescue placement.** Her overall health and well-being appear to be declining, and she is exhibiting signs consistent with depression and prolonged kennel stress. Having spent nearly one year in the shelter environment, coupled with two unsuccessful adoptions and emerging behavioral concerns in home settings, her situation has become increasingly concerning.
For Gothel's welfare, placement with an experienced, behaviorally knowledgeable adopter or reputable rescue organization equipped to address her specific behavioral and medical needs is strongly recommended. Continued prolonged confinement is not in her best interest, and securing an appropriate placement is urgent.
10/11/26 On URGENT list due to length of stay.
