Meet Socks, the black and white kitten. Socks came into the Shelter with his two littermates as a fearful kitten. He spent a couple of weeks in foster socializing and growing big and strong to prepare for adoption. Her foster reports: `Socks- the middle brother to Whisker and Toes. Socks is the most adventuresome of the 3, insistent in his pursuit to explore new territory. Also the most talkative, asking humans for attention and pets.`
Socks is available for pre-adoption. Come meet him, fall in love and take him home after his neuter surgery.
Socks' adoption fee is reduced by $20 thanks to the Bogey Fund - a fund that draws adopter's eyes towards often overlooked black cats in Shelters.
Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
